I am a Registered Veterinary Technician who has worked at a local veterinary clinic for 20 years and this is where I met Annie. She was a client whose dogs were our most well-mannered patients, so I already knew of her extensive knowledge and experience with training and behavior modification.
My husband and I needed professional help when we got our third Doberman, Magnum, who was a puppy. Dobermans are extremely intelligent, powerful dogs and he is no exception. Some unwanted behaviors were already emerging, and we needed guidance. During our first meeting with Annie, we discussed our concerns and how we would tackle them as well as future training goals. She customized a program unique to Magnum's needs and made us feel empowered to start correcting seemingly daunting issues. We were given tasks to work on and she was available to contact with any questions or problems we were facing between training sessions. She helped us tremendously in not only completely resolving problems we were having, but also in teaching us new skills that stimulated Magnum's brain, like working on impulse-control. Even when we felt like we were not making much progress, Annie reminded us of how far we had come and cheered us on. Magnum would not be well on his way to becoming a well-behaved adult without Annie's training and we will continue to work with her to achieve this goal.
We highly recommend Annie to anyone who is feeling like they are having problems with their beloved pup or adult dog.
I could write several pages to describe all that Annie has done for our Smokey. We rescued him when he was 1 1/2 years old. We were told he was good with people and other dogs. We found out that was not true.
Annie is our third puppy trainer/class and turns out to be “the charm" for us and our Newfie-Poo Jerry. She clearly loves dogs and put together a positive and effective plan for our family with the basics like sit, come, and not jumping on guests. She also introduced us to skills we wouldn’t have known to ask about: like door manners and how to stop and check-in after getting out of our van. These are definitely making our lives a little easier. We highly recommend Annie! Her training sessions are fun and effective, and worth every penny.
Our house would not be as happy as it is now without Annie! We adopted Bodhi, a stray greyhound-German Shepherd mix, from the humane society at the end of July. A friend of ours told us we HAD to get in touch with Annie, and we have never looked back! My husband fondly refers to Annie as “The Dog Whisperer” since she was able to take our out-of-control and stubborn puppy and help us shape him into a sweet young dog. She helped us play to his strengths and minimize the undesired behaviors. Annie comes to the home and meets the dog on their own territory, speaking their language, and builds a completely unique plan with you and your family. She makes it all seem so easy, and it really is with her. Just a few simple routines or habits that consistently reinforce desired behaviors make all the difference. If it weren’t for Annie, I’m not sure my husband would let me keep Bodhi, let alone declare his love for Bodhi as much as he does! I will always recommend Annie and will be working with her in the future for Bodhi’s therapy dog training.
Annie was recommended to us by a friend, and she told us we would love her. She was right. From the first phone call, she made me feel very comfortable, and I was encouraged that we could train our feisty Shih Tzu/Bischon Frise mix. Reggie is a year old. And he was pretty much running the household.
